I have a 4 year old female that I took to the vet about 2 1/2 months ago for
what I thought was a swollen abdomen. He examined and x-rayed her, and
basically said that I have a fat old ferret! :) Her energy level is good, and
needless to say, her appetite is just wonderful! lol However, she sure does
seem to be getting bigger around her tummy. She eats a full jar of Gerber Chicken
baby food once a day, plus her regular dry food. Are there any diseases that
I should be concerned abut with these symptoms? Her breathing is sometimes
audible, but I wonder if that's just because she's fat. She doesn't seem to be
in any distress.
