Find another vet who is ferret knowledgable. I think your baby needs
treatment now and it could be anythng. If the vet you saw did not give you
an answer and the signs you are seeing are very bothersome she needs to find
someone that is more aggressive. The black tarry stools is bleeding in the
stomach and she either got into something toxic, has an obstruction, or a
severe viral infection. Someone needs to be proactive here. This is just
my opinion but I think you need a second opinion and fast. Good Luck and I
hope she makes it thru the night. Keep her warm, some kayro syrup to help
keep her blood sugar up. Find an emergency clinic if you can that perhaps
can help. It could be many things. Is she a spayed female? She seems too
young for a heat problem but if there is any question on the age we need to
keep it in the list of possibilities. Best to ou and your baby.
