Hi Natasha, give the ferrets hay or soft straw for bedding, yes they
will chew it but it is what they would use in the wild. I've used it for
40 years with no trouble. If they don't have a sleeping area just put a
few handfuls in a cardboard shoe box. He will chew the box as well I
