Hi,
Was wondering if it is truely okay to be giving sub-q fluids to a dehydrated ferret that is getting lasix? This is the little coughing ferret post spleenectomy I posted about earlier. She is now receiving lasix and the vet okay'd giving fluids also since she is not eating well. Just wanted to check this is okay. Also, the vet said the reason she wanted to give a steroid to begin with was to stimulate her appetite (it didn't) and to help with the inflammation in her lungs. But at least now she is on lasix and if all goes well will get heart medications in a few days.
