Hi ladyrochebug,
In a 3 year old ferret, I would not require any
pre-adreanal surgery bloodwork unless he is
having some other problem(s). What bloodwork
"and other things" does your vet want to do?
A pre surgery glucose to check for insulinoma
and a pre surgery CBC to check the plateletts
and to check for anemia are all good things, but
I do not require them in a young, healthy ferret.
