Hello, my husband and I run a smallish shelter with already spayed & neutered ferrets, cats, dog, rabbits. (not the doves, though :) . And my husband has a special question for Dr. Williams...
" Can the umbilical cord stem cells from baby ferrets be used in stem cell research for humans?"

If so, then some of the legitimate and caring shelters who are also breeders like HeartbeatFerrets and West Valley Wuzzles might be able to not only supply such umbilical cord material from their ferret-mom's, but perhaps gain a new source of support for their shelters, too.
This is just an idea that came to mind that we wanted to ask about.
