In past posts from Dr. Bruce Williams in the FHL Archives at http://fhl.sonic-ferret.org folks will notice that aside from an increase in ulcer formation in some individuals and the cosmetic change of fur loss in some on long term steroids, ferrets are very UNinclined toward the side effects which steroids can have on so manyh other species.
