I too know that Gentocin is toxic to the kidney's. I only know of it being
used injectably or topically never orally. I would think that the risks are
still there and I don't know that it is effective. It is also a drug
reserved for use when there is a resistence to everything else. What on
eart is it being used for and have the safer antibiotics been tried first?
It is bothersome to me but I know each vet differs in their opinions. Hope
this helps a bit, I would question its use if you haven't already.
