Thank you for your response. I suspect that is what
our vet is doing. He is generally conservative in his
treatments and tends to be cautious. I suspect that
he's just being careful in Podo's case. Considering
that Podo is 9.5 years old or so there isn't much room
for error, is there?
(BTW, Pam S. once commented regarding our vet that any
vet that routinely ligates the vena cava when removing
right adrenal glands isn't conservative, but that's
another discussion topic.)

I know he is concerned about Podo's occasional bouts
of wheezing and weird sounding breathing and somewhat
worried about what X-rays might show in his lungs.
We'll know shortly.
I guess my desire to start lupron is to help relieve
Podo's adrenal symptoms. It's not just that I want
his beautiful brown coat back. He's itchy and he's
quite aggressive right now. I saw him starting
wrestling matches with Tenchi, our dominant alpha,
last night. Tenchi is at least three years younger
than Podo and invariably gives him a quick trashing.
Considering all Podo's health issues I'm not sure how
much of that is a good idea.
