My 6 yr old ferret just had vena cava ligation surgery. She own't eat anything but is drinking lots of water. It has been 8 days since her surgery. The first adrenal surgery 2 years ago went fine and she ate the day I brought her home. I brought her to the vet yesterday and she spent the night. He said she physically looks good and told me to try Sucralfate. I have forced fed her once today and 2 times yesterday. She hasn't gone to the bathroom yet today since I got her from the vet. Soes anyone have any suggestions on what it could it be? SHe is drinking plenty of water like I said. Does anyone know how longit takes the Sucralfate to work?
Thanks all suggestions would be great!!
Ann
