Marie, since giving glucose would work for controlling insulinoma for a while, too -- in fact WAS the old approach and we had one go close to year that way long ago -- could you give more info on HOW the conclusion was reached that there was not insulinoma? Were the ferrets opened and biopsies done? Were both the blood glucose and blood insulin levels measured? Was this discovered on necropsy with pathology (not just gross observation since insulinoma growths can be incredibly small at times -- which is one reason why we've have vets use microscopes for such surgeries)? I just want to find out why the idea of insulinoma was discounted.
