Most important way to make your life easier: warm the fluids first!
Do NOT use microwave. I heat some water in a saucepan to just
below simmer, then place the syringe (pre-loaded with the fluids)
in the pan and let it sit for several minutes. You can also run hot
water from tap. I test temp. of syringe against inside of my wrist.
Don't get it TOO hot!

Also, before soaking it, either use syringe cap on tip, or make sure
capped needle is tightly in place, so sterility is not compromised.

Also helps to do it *after* giving pain meds (if any) or while ferret is
napping.

Use butterfly, not straight needle too...
