I don't want to cause needless alarm, but I thought everyone might be interested in something I learned yesterday from the Chair of the Pharmacy Technician program at my school(he is a pharmacist and a lawyer as well):
He told me that several months ago the FDA had come to the conclusion that Human compounding pharmacies should NO LONGER prepare Veterinary medications.
Now, this has not become a law--yet. But regulations are on the way.
Please remember that compounded meds generally have a *much* shorter shelf life than commercially prepared drugs and shouldn't be stockpiled....
