One thing to consider may be that a food allergy may be present. These seem to most commonly in ferrets be to chicken, to poultry in general, or to a starch source, but they actually be to anything. We have found that babyfoods, z-d food, and some of the non-usual foods (duck and pea, rabbit and pea, venison and pea) can be ways to help figure this out.
Have you read up on IBD and EGE?
