A follow up post on this old thread: Podo is now
receiving lupron (one month depot) and while he hasn't
regrown any hair he is definitely less aggressive and
seems to itch less. He's also put on a little weight.
We still don't know what caused the chest congestion
and there still is some, but nothing (other than his
insulinoma and the return of adrenal disease) seeme to
be seriously wrong with him.
I think Dr. Sue had it right. Our vet, who is
conservative, wanted the full picture before deciding
on what course of treatment was best. In the end we
did opt for lupron.
