Might be normal for that one as a kit. When Robin Williams had babies he had a routine about having people pick up their noses as he approached, knowing from the residual odor that he had an infant at home. "Toxic velcro" was how he worded it. We've found that often the same applies for kit bowel movements.

It would make sense to be sure the kit isn't munching on anything he shouldn't have.

Some people find that the odors of foods without fish in them are lower; sensitivity to fish smell varies among people.
