Subject: Teething?

Could it be possible that my 11 week old ferrets are teething? I thought the little girl was a major biter but I noticed that it's more chewing than biting. Both babies chew on their ceramic food dish regardless of how full the dish is. Chewy (the boy) has been having some strange poops (looks like string, turned out to be chunks of fabric with partially digested food wrapped in the middle and soaked in stomach acid, hence the foul smell I wrote about earlier.) It turns out that his "burrowing" was so he could chew on the bedding (towel) without me seeing it.

So my questions are: Could it be they are teething? If so, what should I give them or do I need to buy those expensive ferret chews by marshalls? What bedding can I use that won't hurt them if they ingest part of it? Or should I just spray their blankets with bitter apple? Is there a spray that works better than bitter apple? (Sonic loves the taste of bitter apple)

Right now they are very mad at me because I removed the blankets and they are sleeping on the plastic floor of the cage.
