IBD wasn't confirmed with biopsy but diagnosis was based on clinical symptoms and
patient history. Will be sure to discuss this with the vet.
I should have been more clear in my initial post about the fluid. It was in the lungs.
What we thought was 'swelling' in his abdomen was primarily fat and a full bladder.
Pneumonia seems to be clearing up well with amoxicillin. Am still puzzled as to how
he ended up with pneumonia. His heart is fine and strong as confirmed by both x-
ray and ultrasound.
Mojo has ever been our medically challenging ferret. Thanks again for giving me
more information to consider and discuss with the vet.
