I read somewhere that using newspaper for litter is bad for the kids. Lately I've given up on litter training out of the cage, trying to move them to a litter box results in a big mess. Instead I have just been using newpaper (not the ground up newspaper litter but whole sheets of the daily newspaper) in their favorite corners. Is there any health issues I should worry about using newspaper?
Also, I read that wood stove pellets could be used as a cheap litter. Is there any special kind to get or avoid?
