My 4 yr old boy Edgar had his left adrenal removed in August. I have had hi=
m on melatonin since. He has begun showing symptoms of adrenal again in the=
last 2 months (sexual aggression, hair loss)I noticed yesterday that he wa=
snt acting the same, then today I found him straining to urinate. I took hi=
m in and we sedated him and drained his bladder via cystotomy. His urine wa=
s a thick yellow/green color, full of WBCs, RBCs, and epithelial cells. It =
was so thick, whether or not bacteria were present wasn't discernable. I be=
gan him on clavamox immediately. I have also started him on Propecia 1 mg a=
day. It has been 5 hours since I had him in. His bladder doesnt seem to be=
large, though it is palpatable, and he is still straining to urinate. In f=
act, he seems to be consumed by the idea of peeing. He keeps trying, but no=
thing comes out. It is so sad. He is very "crabby" now too, as he attacked =
the dog earlier. I was wondering what I can do for him. I am so scared. If =
he is still not going to tomorrow, I think we plan to catheterize him. I ju=
st wish I knew what to do for him, and if I am doing the right thing. I als=
o have Lupron on order now. Please help. I don't want to lose my baby....
