You said in an earlier post that he had both adrenals out. But since that time, has he had to be on replacement hormone therapy because of the lack of adrenals? If the answer is no, then there was adrenal tissue left behind, and if any is left, they can continue to grow and this still may be a prostate problem.

Crystals or stones are definite possibility, but prostate problems are much more common.
