I don't know if this is a common pratice, but I
cannot believe that a ferret would have his teeth
removed because he is a biter? Did I misunderstand, or
was this the real reason for the removal of his
canines? Was it upper and lower canines?
For years I have dealt with 'biters' but have
never ever considered removing their teeth, this
sounds like a really drastic measure and I must say I
am appalled to think that the poor ferret had to lose
his teeth for no valid reason!
All ferrets who bite can be handled in a manner,
that will prevent them from using their teeth in this
way! As long as they live where there are no children
and are kept out of the public arena, they too can
live a happy life, with teeth---Angela.
