I thought I would update everyone on what is going on with Koda's distended bladder. Koda was left at the vets office first thing today. The vet plans to take an xray of his bladder and the area around it. He still seems to think it is more likly a stone and not prostate problem. He said if nothing shows on the xray he plans to put a cathather in. He said he dosn't expect to feel any blockage but if he does then most likly it is the prostate. He believes there is not a prostate problem but a bladder contraction problem. I have never heard of this before except in rabbits. Does anyone have any information on bladder contraction problems in ferrets? The vet tells me that meds will help with either problem. Should I be asking him to look for adrenal growths? Koda did have both removed around two years ago but has never been on replacement therapy. Doesn't that mean he still has/had adrenal tissue left?? Any ideas anyone??
