Yes, by definition he had adrenal tissue remaining if he didn't need Percorten or Florinef plus Pred. There are adrenal products which are essential for life and without them Addisons happens. If the ferret didn't need the meds then the ferret's body had enough retained adrenal tissuse to create those essential adrenal products.
