This is done on every ferret- even if no history of reaction?
There is a report that in premature infants who are on dexamethasone
in the nursery, there is some problem in them deveolping the proper
antibody response to their first vaccines. I have to double check
the article, and I am sure it is in those with longer term steroid use
( not just one dose), but I still have some concern that by using a
steroid
you run the risk of not getting the proper antibody response to the
vaccine given.
