Subject: Antti-anxiety meds for aggressive ferret

We have a major problem with one of our fuzzies. Last year when he went into
shock after two vaccines at once (no we wont ever do that again and neither will any
of the vets) he came out of it after a shot and overnight ivs. However we noticed
that he was super aggressive with the other ferrets in our house--he was aggressive
to the point of dragging them behing something and trying to kill them and trust
me it was not playing. The vet was really puzzled and our new vet although in the
same practice suggested we might try an anti-anxiety drug. She said she would
check with some of her professors at vet school and get their suggestions. I told
her I would check here to see if some of the vets who sometimes post here could
give some insight as to possible dosages and/or meds. Our vet is really open to
learning new things and it seems as though there are only two vets in our
community who know anything at all about ferrets. Most people in our area dont
even get shots
for their ferrets let alone medical care. Also he is very loving toward the humans in
his life and is usually a very laid back ferret. Its such a shame as he is so lonesome
for companionship it makes me want to cry.

Any help (no flames or meaness please) would be appreciated.
