I have an 8 year old male, Bear, and he needs help desperately. I live in a=
town where there are no ferret-knowledgeable vets; none of them will even =
see him. My Bear started losing weight a couple of weeks ago. He was still =
eating and playing until a few days ago. He has not lost any hair and I can=
't feel any enlargements in his body. Now I am syringe-feeding him Ferretvi=
tes, Duck Soup, and water several times per day. He will still lick a small=
amount of sweets on his own. He is still alert and responsive to me, but h=
e has lost so much weight and strength he can hardly walk. It seems like he=
has lost coordination in his hips, but he still climbs up into his hammock=
and tries to explore the house. He does not gag, vomit, cough, or wheeze, =
and he is still having small bowel movements that sometimes look like tar, =
which I attribute to a diet primarily made of of Ferretvites. Please, if an=
yone has any information and/or advice I would truly appreciate it. I don't=
want to lose my baby if it can be helped. Thank you.
