Yes, they use the combination on all of their ferret vaccines. The first vaccines are
given at Marshall's Ferret Farm (if it's not a marshall's ferret you have to sign a
waiver stating that your ferret is from unknown background). These are the later
shots. My vet won't give vaccinations before the 11th week. By giving the steroid
with the vaccine they save a lot of time and money not having to deal with
emergency allergic reactions or any liability issues. They've never had a problem
with the ferrets not developing the antibodies.

[Moderator's note: at the multiple farms which give vaccines it is only the first CD
vaccine (of a series of three CDV vax, and then later rabies vax. The second CD vax
is typically given about week 11 or 12 followed with the third in 3 to 4 weeks. For
rabies vax the kits needs to be over 12 weeks of age and some vets wait a bit
longer. This created a good openning to remind anyone new to ferrets who has a
kit.]
