Sort of on the same subject --

In the past five years or so, when I get a baby ferret (albeit usually
from Denmark - angora), and we go to our first vet appointment, he
insists on starting the distemper vaccines from the first shot of three,
even though the breeder says he gives the first shot in Denmark at 8
weeks before they babies are exported.

Is this practice dangerous, or is it okay to repeat a distemper shot?

Thanks,

Lisa
