Just curious, were titers done?

I am just wondering, and it would be great if there is a study
or if titers are done so I won't worry about it. I do understand
that it is a necesity if the ferret had a prior reaction.
I also wonder, if he doesn't start the vaccines until 11 weeks
old is there any worry about risk of distemper prior to that age,-
or I guess the owners all know to be extra careful, etc.

Sounds like a good thing, just worried about the antibody levels
and if the protection is at all compromised.

Yes, they use the combination on all of their ferret vaccines. The first vaccines are
given at Marshall's Ferret Farm (if it's not a marshall's ferret you have to sign a
waiver stating that your ferret is from unknown background). These are the later
shots. My vet won't give vaccinations before the 11th week. By giving the steroid
with the vaccine they save a lot of time and money not having to deal with
emergency allergic reactions or any liability issues. They've never had a problem
with the ferrets not developing the antibodies.
