Hi, Amy, and everyone else,
I've never heard of a ferret getting fat because of
adrenal disease so unless there are other symptoms
that point in that direction I'd look elsewhere.
At one point in his life Kodo got to almost two kilos
(4.4 lbs), earning him the nickname "Big Bear". Our
vet thought of putting him on a diet but he slimmed
down on his own come spring. Your ferret is putting
on weight during the spring when you'd expect him to
lose it, so I would suspect something is wrong. I'm
sorry, but I don't know what. I just don't think
adrenal is the answer. Oh, and I should add that I'm
not a vet.
