Update on Dixie and her back end paralysis:

I went to our vet today to get an x-ray to see if it would give us some
clues on her condition. To our surprise it showed that one of her vertebrae
was gone. He suspects it was "eaten away" as a result of cancer.

Has anyone ever had this experience? The missing area is about half way
down her back, just above the kidney area.

Thank you for any input.
Liz

> Last Sunday my 3 year old, Dixie, quit using her back legs. We aren't
sure if she fell or injured herself in some way. We thought she was just
cleaning her butt on the floor, but then she was walking weird and later
couldn't use her back legs at all. She would walk with her front legs and
her back legs would just stick out behind her and drag.
