Subject: adrenal - medicine called lusotrin?

Rocky is 4yr MF male, healthy until now. Went to Vet yesterday because seemed to be breathing faster than normal and making hiccupy gaspy type noises, also resting very frequently during awake time. Through palpatation alone, Vet said enlarged prostate, enlarged spleen, enlarged right adrenal. Also said irregular heartbeat. She gave us Baytril, 1/4 tablet (22.7mg I think) once a day, 24 days. She took blood for CBC, and said she might want to put him on lusotrin (sp?), but needed to see the blood work results first.

I understand the Baytril is to try to clear up any secondary infections, to reduce any symptoms that are infection-related so we can determine if he is a good candidate for adrenal surgery, but I am not familiar with "lusotrin".

Does anyone have any info on this "lusotrin" (I may have the name wrong, so any input on that would be appreciated also). What is the correct spelling? What drug category? Of course I will clarify with the Vet when she calls with the bloodwork results, but I wanted to do some research beforehand.

Thanks for any help,
Kim Breeden
