Check the listing of ferret shelters on the American Ferret Association
website at www.ferret.org. The shelters close to you normally can give you
the name of ferret knowledgeable vets in your area. I live just north of
Tampa and have a GREAT ferret vet and there is also the Univ. of Fl at
Gainesville where Dr. Kemmerer is located. I know she has just been
married, but you can find her own personal website for consults if you are
unable to make the trip. Use your search engine to find "Deborah Kemmerer,
DVM" and you'll find a listing. She is great at giving telephone consults
to local vets. Hope this helps.
