The combo with Flagyl/Metronidazol (That spelling just doesn't looks right so accept that it is wrong) is the old approach. Yes, the Flagyl stresses them because it tastes so bad and that can be counterproductive. The newer method (Amoxi with Biaxin and with Carafate, but without Flagyl and without Pepto) has been in use for several years now with fine results.
