Today I received an email from someone alleging that the cleaning fluid
in Swiffer Wet Jets contained an antifreeze-like ingredient and was
responsible for the death of several pets. Since someone at work told
me a couple days ago she had gotten one as well, I did a quick search
on the Internet and found the following press release at the ASPCA
site:

<http://www.aspca.org/site/News2?
page=NewsArticle&id=16054&security=2220&news_iv_ctrl=1400>

Quick summary: although some of the ingredients have similar names to
antifreeze ingredients, they are chemically very different and are safe
when used as directed.

So you don't need to throw away those Swiffers for cleaning up your
fuzzies misses! Of course one should always make sure any cleaning
products have dried completely before turning the ferrets loose.
