Subject: What to expect after surgery

Rufus did have a tumor on his left adrenal gland. The size of a pea. He is 3 days post-op and doing well. I forgot to ask my vet this but what can I expect post op? By that I mean, how long before his hormone level returns to normal? He has had no hair loss so far but I read some ferrets do lose hair post op. Could he loose all his hair. How long should I wait before I put him back with the other fuzzies? I have let him out for a supervised romp yesterday and today. After 15 or 20 minutes he tires out. I'd appreciate any comments on what to expect. This is my first fuzzy to have surgery. I am a Nurse aide at a hospital and I know what to expect to a certain extent but ferrets are so unique in so many ways. Thanks
