Okay, first off, have you considered options other than Helicobacter? Helicobacter can take a longer run or meds than many expect, but there can be other causes of symptoms.
What ARE the symptoms? Just the mentioned grinding and vomiting, or diarrhea, too? What color are the stools? Has a shifting blockage been considered, especially in the fabric eater? What has been tested for? How often? Fecal tests for things like Coccidia often need repeating.
