Subject: Repeated 'Chomping' (follow-up to 8814)

Hi-
I wrote yesterday about the possibility of ECE in my ferret (thanks to all who responded). Although she's eating a little more now and has started to poop brown/green instead of just green, I have noticed she repeatedly 'chomps' before/during/after I give her some food or medicine. It's kind of strange; I can see the skin on on the top of one side of her head moving up and down as she constantly opens and closes her jaw. While I had her mouth open to smear some AD food on the top of her mouth, I did not notice any wounds in her mouth.

Is this
A) somehow related to her previous symptoms (see msg 8814)?
B) something someone else has seen before?

Thanks
