Subject: Missing (?) Adrenals

My 4 yr old spayed Albino Skweek ahd surgery last week having displayed all the classic signs of adrenal problems. However, the vet was unable to locate her glands anywhere. he removed some fat from within, checked out her liver (a coupld of spots but nothing that alarmed him) her Kidneys and pancreas all look fine so he tells me but the glands are nowhere to be seen.

I have had her from about 1 yr old and the only sugery she had before now was the spay at about 14 months. I should mention she is a petite girl.. maybe being smaller than many ferrets.

My vet is relatively inexperienced in this field in fact this was only his second one, the first was Bubbles my hob about 18 months ago, which went fine, as I was able to point my vet to one or two really good web resources. he is keen to get to the bottom of this, and given that few vets round here seem to be very interested in ferrets, I hope to "train him up" to look after mine, any help anyone can give us with explaining the mystery of Skweekys "missing bits" would be greatly appreciated.
