Adrenals are very small, about lentil sized in regular size ferrets, and the right is often under the Vena Cava so hidden that way.
There ARE adrenal(s) in the ferret; the ferret would be dead if there weren't. When adrenal glands are removed cleanly (no tissue left behind) ferrets need meds to supply adrenal products or the ferrets rapidly die of Addisons.
