Well, that is why sustain. It won't put on weight unless the ferret was
emaciated before. Hmm, some thoughts...

Loose stools, try baby rice instead of pumpkin. Or barley, any of the
baby cereals will help firm up stools and help gain some weight.

I assume no cream because of loose stools. Mine usually adjust within a
few days, but with some, the looser stools can put them over the edge if
very sick already. Then I do the AD and nutrical for a while. Try
adding unsalted butter or rendered chicken fat to the mixture. This
adds calories if you are trying to avoid milk based foods

Milk thistle--seems to help with liver function and for some reason,
Chance's stools firmed up quickly while adding it to the AD and
nutrical.

Here is what I would do--1 jar of baby food, 1 can of KD or AD, 1/3 tube
of nutrical or other high calorie supplement, 1 tsp ferratone, 3
droppers of iron supplement, 2 tablespoons of rendered chicken fat or
melted unsalted butter, electrolyte supplement in powder or pedialyte to
consistency. I would also say make is less thick and sub q fluids
instead.

What medications have you tried for diarrhea?
