Candi was blind when we got her and it hasn't slowed her down at all!!!
When they are out in the house, she just runs next to the wall. Every
few steps she edges over just far enough to feel the wall and keeps on
going. She loves to be outside on the leash! She will run out as far
as she can on it and just keeps going. Every 3/4 minutes, she runs back
and gets between your feet then runs straight back out again. It is
like she is just cking to make sure you are still there! I think she
realizes that as long as we have the other end of the leash, she will be
safe b/c we are watching out for her. It can sure warm your heart to
know that a ferret who was abandoned b/c she needed surgery now trusts
you enough to be that carefree.

I do appreciate the info about the scents. I will try that here just to
see what happens!

Chose two scents for each room (one for each side of the room), and one scent for any hall. Mark things like doorjams, protruding bases of furniture, etc. with the scents. Humans stop smelling it within days but ferrets seems to get enough input from the oils to help them navigate for about 2 weeks.
