Subject: Ferret Incomplete Spay Questions

I have a little female that is displaying signs of an incomplete spay, we've
had her to the vet twice, and was wondering, if what the vet said and is
trying is current or if something else might be happening?

The vet recommended masturbating the ferret, and if after 10 days to 2 weeks
no improvements, to return with her for surgery. We took her back yesterday
and he put her on antibiotics (Cefa-Drops, .3cc BID), which we're supposed to
give for 10 days, and if no improvement, bring her back in.

Now if her symptoms are actually from a spay not completely done, how long
are we looking at before hormone levels reach high enough to kill her? I don't
want to lose this rescue, she is such a sweetie, she deserves better than this,
so please if you can help, contact me at this email address privately as to
not clutter up the board.

Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you.
