How is his prostate? has he tried anything like Metacam or Rimadyl for
pain, discomfort or inflammation, what about prednisolone (not the prior 2
not to be given if on pred)? I agree there is probably more going on. If
you can't be sure get a second opinion. I did not see what he saw in
surgery so have no clue there. With his weakness etc. it would be a
concern. Have him recheck his heart, feel his abdomen for pain and if he
can't locate a cause manage his pain. What was the adrenal status, could he
have an enlarged prostate that is causing all the problems and if so you can
try to medically manage it for now to avoid another surgery that he may not
survive. just some thoughts but remember we are not there, are not seeing
what your vet saw, so we don't have a complete picture. I feel if you thing
there is something wrong, then there is, and he is not reassuring you so
work on that and if you still are not comfortable get another opinion.
There is nothing wrong with that and it does not mean your vet has done
anything wrong, it is just that you want to be sure and if that is what it
takes, then do it. Hope this helps a bit, but I don't have enought info to
help in any other way.
