I have to admit to being curious as well. Is it just a rumor? Is it because a ferret whose hormone levels are off might get into more arguments and thus be at more risk of injury? If so, that would be for any injury type, I'd think, though areas near the neck can be at more risk from sexual or pseudo-sexual behavior (said as someone who had a retired breeder who had an eye bitten through by a mounting male). I've never heard of this before either so am curious if it is something new, something missed, or something that just has been speculated by someone because of what may be mistaken pattern "recognition". Anyway, I can't see any possible connection off-hand except possibly an injury one related to behavioral changes, but that is all nothing more than guess work on my part so take it with a boulder of salt.
