Age? Appetite? Was he always thin? I have had some young ones that have
partial obstruction of a fur ball in their stom that have lost half their
body weight without any other signs. They start to have signs when it gets
really really bad but I had one with no real signs and developed a gastric
ulcer that he wasn't clinical for that suddenly hemorrhaged and he died. So
looks can be decieving it just depends on the other circumstances.

A friend of mine and myself went to a shot clinic today and each had 5
ferrets receive both their rabies and distemper shots. the vet gave them each a
pred shot before the vax...she had on react a half hour after the vax and he was
given a shot of epinifrin(sp) and came out of it really good.....now the part
that is scary.....she had a baby react 7 hours after getting the vax...he was
covered in hives, face swollen and whole body hot...he was given benadryl and
is doing much better.....she did give the others some as a preventative to
make sure that noone else reacted like he did. just want to hear if anyone has
ever heard of that or has ever had it happen to them
