Subject: Growth inside my babies neck?

I have a sick fellow named Scratch. I've taken him to our ferret vet already but they are unsure of what it is. Lymphoma was a guess but with treatment the growth has not gone down. Our vet doesn't want to operate in the neck area due to nerves and other items in the area. The growth is getting bigger but he is still playful. In my heart I know it's not lymphoma but some other growth.

Has anyone seen a growth like this and was there a treatment for it? I have a ferret with a mass cell growth on the outside of his neck the comes to a head and pops then grows back but I had the vet remove that. Could something like that be growing on the inside of his neck in the tissue?

Sincerely,
