Is it just one growth and is it near the thing which grows and then pops? I ask because mast cell tumors do not come to head and then pop (but they do get scratched raw by ferrets). I am wondering if your ferret has a cyst or an oil gland which is infected, causing it to head and pop and causing the neighboring lymph node to respond.
What is the ferret's blood work like? Temperature? Other nodes? How large is this one? What is it similar to in size? Can it be seen of just felt? Is it hard or rubbery?
