Mudflap is a two year old male from a private breeder. When I adopted him April of this year he arrived with what seemed to be a blood blister on the back of his ear. It's in the same spot MF tattoos their ferrets, just to give you an idea where it's located. Mudflap doesn't seem bother it at all, but several times it has been bitten/scratched open in play and then it bleeds for a while. If I try to clean or blot the blood, it seems to hurt him. After the bleeding stops, it looks like a regular blood blister again.
Sorry I haven't been able to get a picture. My camera does well on close-ups, but the flash washes out the spot. I've been getting home too late to shot the picture outdoors. If it may help identify what this is and if it should be removed, I'll try harder to get a picture.
Anyone ever seen anything like this? I'm guessing that if it really is a blood blister, it should be gone by now, right?
